Our Calico booking system shows near real time availability. We ask for a 50% deposit, and the balance is due 14 days prior to the charter. If you want to use the card you made the booking with, you don’t have to do anything and we will charge your card the balance on the 14th day prior. If you want to use a different form of payment like a different credit card, wire transfer, or cash, just call or email us.
Outsiders bookings are done through email invoices, and can be paid with any credit card.
You may reschedule or refund your booking up to 14 days prior to the charter for any reason.
7-14 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation charge. Within 7 Days no refunds. Charter begins at scheduled time. Lateness may not be able to be made up depending on schedule. Captain has sole discretion as to rescheduling for weather.

- Our yacht is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in between charters.
- Crew wear masks at all times, and sanitize hands often.
- Guests must wear masks while on the dock, and boarding the yacht.
- All charters are private, and our yacht has 3 distinct areas allowing for social distancing when necessary.
- As per county guidelines, single household charters only please.
- Two sinks are available onboard for washing hands, and sanitizer is placed in multiple locations.
Boarding is at Dock 55 in Marina del Rey. The address is 13701 Fiji Way. A parking lot is available on site for a small fee (Marina del Rey Parking Lot 1). Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled charter time to ensure you can board on time. At the water, on the north side of the parking lot, there is a silver gate with a sign that says “Dock 55”. Look for Calico or Outsiders on the dock at the bottom of the ramp. Yes! You may bring anything you like, including food, and alcoholic drinks. Water, soft drinks, and ice are provided.
Please wear comfortable clothes. White soled shoes are preferred; no heels. Keep in mind the breeze can cool things down so may be a good idea to bring a light jacket.
Yes! Easily connect your phone or device through bluetooth. Calico‘s stereo system is loud and crisp, with speakers inside, on the flybridge, and on the bow.
Industry standard is 15-20% of the charter cost for excellent service from the captain and crew. For your convenience, and because we know you’ll love our crew, we give you the option of adding gratuity when booking. Cash tips are always appreciated onboard as well if you prefer.
Your captain has sole discretion as to destination and route based on the day’s conditions. Any itineraries listed are suggestions, and due to weather and sea conditions may not be possible on the day of your charter.
Calico has fantastic interior spaces including a fully enclosed flybridge with clear stratoglass. A little rain doesn’t have to spoil our day! In the unlikely event of severe weather, the charter may have to be rescheduled. Reschedulings due to weather are at the captain’s sole discretion and will not be made until the day of the charter.
The waters within Marina del Rey harbor are nearly flat. Those prone to seasickness can thoroughly enjoy a 2 hour harbor cruise with minimal chance of motion sickness! For longer charters, many days on the pacific are calm allowing a nice cruise to the Santa Monica Pier. A private charter on Calico allows you control so that if at any point you wish to finish the charter in the flat waters of the harbor, just let your captain know. Marina del Rey is the largest man-made harbor in North America, and has many calm areas to cruise through!
