Our booking system shows near real time availability. We ask for a 50% deposit, and the balance is due 7 days prior to the charter. If you want to use the card you made the booking with, you don’t have to do anything and we will charge your card the balance on the 7th day prior. If you want to use a different form of payment like a different credit card, zelle, venmo, or cash, just call or email us.
You may reschedule or refund your booking up to 14 days prior to the charter for any reason.
7-14 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation charge. Within 7 Days there are no refunds or changes. Your charter begins at the scheduled time, not when you arrive. Lateness generally cannot be made up at the end of your charter. In the very unlikely event of heavy rain or winds in excess of 30 knots, your charter may have to be rescheduled. This will happen on the day of and at the sole discretion of the Captain.

Yes! You may bring anything you like, including food, and alcoholic drinks. Water, soft drinks, and ice are provided.
The 40ft yacht allows a maximum of 6 guests onboard.
The 50ft yacht is for larger groups of up to 12 guests.
Every adult, child, and baby in your group counts as 1 person for these limits. Due to US Coast Guard rules there are no exceptions.
Yes! Easily connect your phone or device through bluetooth. Calico‘s stereo system is loud and crisp, with speakers inside, on the flybridge, and on the bow.
Industry standard is 15-20% of the charter cost for excellent service from the captain and crew. For your convenience, and because we know you’ll love our crew, we give you the option of adding gratuity when booking. Cash tips are always appreciated onboard as well if you prefer.
Calico Yacht Charter follows LA County guidelines for safe reopening. All crew have completed the Covid-19 Safety Compliance Certificate program. We are committed to your safety and comfort while onboard.
- Our yacht is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in between charters.
- Crew follow applicable local mask mandates and sanitize hands often. Crew can wear masks at all times upon advance request.
- Guests are not required to wear masks
- All charters are private, and our yacht has 3 distinct areas allowing for social distancing when necessary.
- Two sinks are available onboard for washing hands, and sanitizer is placed in multiple locations.

Please wear comfortable clothes. Keep in mind the breeze can feel cool so its a good idea to bring a light jacket. Blankets are onboard for your use.
We ask you to remove your shoes when onboard in order to keep our yachts clean and in perfect condition for you.
Your captain has sole discretion as to destination and route based on the day’s conditions. Any itineraries listed are suggestions, and due to weather and sea conditions may not be possible on the day of your charter.
Our yachts have fantastic interior spaces including a fully enclosed flybridge with clear stratoglass. In the unlikely event of severe weather such as heavy rain or winds in excess of 30 knots, the charter may have to be rescheduled. Reschedulings due to weather are at the captain’s sole discretion and will not be made until the day of the charter. This is very rare and only happens a few times per year. Our climate in Los Angeles allows us to have great days all year round!
The waters within Marina del Rey harbor are nearly flat. Those prone to seasickness can thoroughly enjoy a 2 hour harbor cruise with minimal chance of motion sickness! If you go coastal cruising and at any point you wish to finish the charter in the flat waters of the harbor, just let your captain know. Marina del Rey is the largest man-made harbor in North America, and has many calm areas to cruise through!
